Scottish Paediatric Society

Open to all doctors, medical students and professions of other healthcare disciplines who are committed to a career in paediatrics or one of its sub-specialities. Activities include paediatric research, CPD, events and networking along with opportunities for trainees to meet and present.

Summer Meeting 2024 - Friday, 7 June, Dundee

This year's Summer Meeting is hosted by Dr Rebecca Goldman and will feature four guest speakers. Abstract submissions for clinical case and research / audit / QI presentations and for poster presentations closed on Sunday 21 April - and registration opens soon.

We welcome applications from paediatricians, medical students and professions of other healthcare disciplines working in Scotland or with an affiliation to Scotland who are considering a career in Paediatrics or demonstrated a commitment to child health in Scotland.

Our principal purpose is to promote the health of children in Scotland - through educational meetings and funds for junior staff to travel to international meetings. We are governed by the SPS Executive Committee under the leadership of the SPS President.

Founded in 1922, SPS was the first Paediatric Society in the UK. Since the beginning, we have been about sharing and advancing knowledge in paediatrics. We provide a look back at our history, plus 'soundbites' from several members on our recent centenary.
